Just by crossing the lobby of the Hotel Colón you will feel like you are entering somewhere that is loaded with history and stories.
The current building was built in 1951, although it has been constantly renovated, always preserving its unmistakable style.
It surely won’t surprise you that, over its more than 60 years of history, the hotel has housed big names such as Tennesse Williams, Sofía Loren, Jean Paul Sartre, Jane Fonda, Hemingway, Arata Isozaki, Francis Ford Coppola o Santiago Calatrava, among others.
However, its most famous and loved guest was Joan Miró. This global artist made the hotel his home in Barcelona during the ’60s and the beginning of the ’70s.
