Barcelona at your feet

There are certain pleasures that are only available for those who stay at Hotel Colón, like waking up in the morning, looking out of the window and seeing the Cathedral of Barcelona bathed in the first rays of sun; an image that will fill you with energy for the rest of the day!

Most of our rooms have this privilege, apart from all the services and commodities that a 4-star hotel can offer: high-speed WiFi, LCD TV with access to international channels, air conditioning, telephone, safe and even a well-stocked minibar.

If you are staying for pleasure, after a good shower and a complete breakfast you will be able to walk to the main points of interest in the city. If you are staying for business, you will have at your service two halls where you can celebrate any kind of event, from business meetings to conventions. In any case, you can count on the excellent service of our Cathedral 1951 restaurant.

These and many other reasons make a stay at Hotel Colón an experience to remember for a lifetime. What more could you ask of a great hotel?

A hotel with history

Just by crossing the lobby of the Hotel Colón you will feel like you are entering somewhere that is loaded with history and stories.

The current building was built in 1951, although it has been constantly renovated, always preserving its unmistakable style.

It surely won’t surprise you that, over its more than 60 years of history, the hotel has housed big names such as Tennesse Williams, Sofía Loren, Jean Paul Sartre, Jane Fonda, Hemingway, Arata Isozaki, Francis Ford Coppola o Santiago Calatrava, among others.

However, its most famous and loved guest was Joan Miró. This global artist made the hotel his home in Barcelona during the ’60s and the beginning of the ’70s.
